Welsh Language Service

Head of Welsh Language Services: Mrs Carole Evans, Director of Governance and Compliance Division.

The University's Welsh Language Services Unit has three main areas of responsibility:

  • To ensure compliance with the University's Welsh Language Scheme and to assist Schools/Division in the development of Welsh Language Issues.
  • To co-ordinate the University's Translation Service.
  • To assist Registry in the development of Welsh Medium Academic Provision within the University.

Further details of how to submit translations can be found on the Translation Service page, along with guidance on costs and timescales. For very short translations, you may want to use the Welsh Language Board’s Link Line service, which translates up to 30 words and edits up to 75 words for free.
