Raising Money for Children In Need
22/11/2012
During the week leading up to Children in Need on 16 November, the School of Welsh were busy raising money with various activities.
The events were organised by Cymdeithas Iolo (a society which organises social and charitable events for School of Welsh students and staff). Numerous events were held during the week including a ‘Whose Office?’ quiz, a cake stall, a raffle and a staff fancy dress day with Professor Sioned Davies dressing up as Minnie Mouse and Dr Foster Evans as a fetching sumo wrestler!
Students and staff also worked together to fill boxes for the charity ‘Operation Christmas Child’, who send Christmas presents to children in need across the world.
After a busy week of fundraising we collected £300.63 for Children in Need.
Many thanks to everyone.
