Lois is a native of Trelewis near Merthyr Tydfil. She graduated in Welsh at Aberystwyth University in 2006. She then worked in Swansea and Aberystwyth before moving to Cardiff to work as a translator. She joined the School of Welsh in September 2009 as Pubilicty Officer.
