Staff Volunteering Event
As part of Sustainability Week Cardiff University, SVC and Cardiff Council are proud to launch an opportunity for staff to "give a little, gain a lot". With over 1,000 of our students volunteering in the community on a regular basis, this is now an opportunity for the staff to get involved too. Why not join us to meet colleagues from other departments, spend a few hours outdoors and support our local community?
On Tuesday 5th November, come and get involved in restoring one of Cardiff's beautiful woodlands, Plymouth Woods. Sandwiched between St Fagans and Ely, Plymouth Woods is one of Cardiff's best-kept secrets: an ancient woodland with beautiful walks and a host of wildlife in the city. Recently, the woods have been beset by fly-tipping and vandalism. Join us for a spot of clearing, litter-picking, or even conservation for the more green-fingered among you.
We know time is precious therefore the sessions will last approximately two and a half hours. All transport and equipment will be provided, and no prior training or skills are necessary to take part. Staff will need to gain approval from their line manager.
