Get on your bike for Sustainability
Staff and students can take advantage of a free bike service and UV cycle marking as part of the University’s annual Sustainability Week.
Running from 29th October – 2nd November 2012, the week includes numerous events and initiatives aimed at bringing the whole University community together to drive forward the sustainable development agenda.
Bring your bike along to the Doctor Bike service and Cardiff Cycle Workshop mechanics will diagnose and repair any problems as well as share skills on basic bike maintenance.
The Doctor Bike service will take place at the Heath Park Campus on Thursday 1st November, 12 midday – 3pm and at Main Building on the Cathays Campus on Friday 2nd November, 12 midday -3pm.
Also available on both days will be free UV cycle marking - a joint initiative between the University’s Security & Portering Services and South Wales Police.
Security & Portering Services also sell Bicycle D Locks at a reduced price of £15.00. Please contact Lynne Smith on SmithL2@cardiff.ac.uk or visit the main Security Reception next to the School of Psychology on Park Place to purchase a lock.
