Four Research Associate posts now available

Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies is looking for four new Research Associates to join our forward-looking, dynamic research team.
Three of the posts are attached to three of the School's research themes. These are 12 month contracts, available on a full or part-time basis.
Emotional, Supportive and Palliative Care
An opportunity for a well-organised, motivated, flexible Research Associate to work within the Emotional, Supportive and Palliative Care (ESPC) Research Group. The group conducts research into issues that affect patients with incurable conditions and their family members.
The post holder will have enthusiasm for developing a career as a researcher. To support this ambition, they will have the opportunity to design and deliver a project within the scope of activity of ESPC research group. To be offered this opportunity they will need relevant experience at a postgraduate level and ideally a PhD in social sciences or nursing. They will have good analysis and paper writing skills and be able to present the findings of research at local, national and international events. Experience of working with people with chronic and/or life-limiting conditions would be an advantage.

Patient Safety and Workforce Innovation
An opportunity for a well-organised, motivated, flexible Research Associate to contribute to research relevant to patient safety and new ways of working in the NHS. The post is offered for two years to work with Professor Dinah Gould and Professor Daniel Kelly.
The post holder will have relevant experience at a postgraduate level and ideally a PhD in an area relevant to health care. They will have good skills of analysis, publication, and grant application. Experience of research in the NHS would be valuable.

Maternal, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing
An opportunity for a well-organised, motivated, flexible Research Associate to contribute to a new research theme in Maternal, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing.
The post holder will have relevant experience at a postgraduate level and ideally a PhD in a subject relevant to health care. They will have good analytic skills and sound experience of writing for publication and grant application. Experience of undertaking research in the NHS would be valuable. The postholder will work closely with the Royal College of Midwives Professor of Midwifery.

Cancer Carer Medicines Management
The fourth post is a full-time, 18 month contract working with Professor Jane Hopkinson to project manage the Cardiff arm of a phase I-II feasibility trial of Cancer Carer Medicines Management (CCMM).CCMM is an educational intervention for carers to help them manage pain medication in cancer patients at end of life.
We are seeking a well-organised, motivated, flexible Research Associate with relevant experience at a postgraduate level and ideally a PhD in social sciences or nursing. They will have good analysis and paper writing skills and be able to present the findings of research at local, national and international events. They will be required to work with people who have chronic health conditions, both as research partners and as research participants. Experience of working with people with chronic and/or life-limiting conditions would be an advantage.
