Postgraduate Taught
The School offers the following taught masters degrees:
Advanced Practice (MSc)
The programme is designed to offer a flexible, innovative and individualised educational opportunity to meet the requirements of health, social care and relevant professionals within a developing evolving health care climate.
Advanced Clinical Practice (MSc/PgCert)
This innovative new programme is designed to prepare clinicians from a range of professions to undertake advanced practice roles. Instead of a traditional dissertation, students on this programme complete a clinically focused portfolio.
Postgraduate Diploma/Master of Science in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (MSc/PgDip)
This programme responds to regulatory changes deemed necessary by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC 2004) that has established a third part of the nursing register specifically for health visitors and school nurses. This is taught at Master's level.
Postgraduate Certificate Programmes
Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies offer a range of Postgraduate Certificate programmes comprising of compulsory modules providing students with the opportunity to explore their specialist areas of practice.
