Dr Annette Lankshear - PhD MA BSc RN HV

Research Interests
My research focus lies in the interface between policy and practice. In the late nineties I studied the impact of conflicting policy streams on inter-professional and inter-agency working in community mental health teams and for the last six years have been engaged in a lengthy programme of work examining the implementation of safety alerts in England and Wales.
Career Overview
After a career in nursing and health visiting I entered nurse education in 1983. In 1995 I became Director of Nurse Education in the University of York and went on to develop a research profile, undertaking work on the implementation of NICE guidance, and the management and effectiveness of safety alerts. I came to Cardiff University in 2005
