Sheila Hunt is the Dean and Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies and Acting Head of the School of Healthcare Studies,Cardiff University and responsible for their effective leadership and management.
As Dean, she has overall responsibility for all matters related to the learning, teaching and training of nurses and midwives and provides a strategic lead in these matters both for the University and within Wales. She also holds similar responsibilities for the international research profile of the school. As elsewhere in the university the teaching is research led and the school has a world class reputation in a number of areas.
An experienced strategic leader and manager in Higher Education she provides the facilities and support to train nursing and midwifery undergraduates, professionals complementary to nursing and midwifery and speciality postgraduates.
Research Interests: Include the use of ethnography to provide descriptive and interpretive studies of aspects of organisations, groups and societies.
