Other Roles and Responsibilities
Georgina contributes to undergraduate programmes, works with post-graduate students undertaking modules on the MSc Advanced Practice programme (‘Interpreting and Analysing Advanced Practice’ and ’Dissertation: Systematic Review’) and the module ‘Systematic reviewing of evidence: politics, processes and practice’ on the Professional Doctorate (Nursing).
She manages the School’s expanding Associate Lectureship Scheme.
Georgina is a core staff member of The Wales Centre for Evidence-Based Care: a Collaborating Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute.

Personal Statement
I am a registered nurse and hold a first class honours degree and MSc (Cardiff University). I am driven by the demand for the delivery of patient sensitive care informed by practice relevant education where the patient journey is central and nursing scholarship is a hallmark.
Academic Interests.
Georgina’s keen interest in the design, implementation and evaluation of new roles and consultant and advanced levels of practice supports, not only her work with associate lecturers, but also her scholarly activity too. Having completed the Joanna Briggs Institute (University of Adelaide) Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Programme (CSRTP) she is now registered as a core staff member of The Wales Centre for Evidence-Based Care (a Collaborating Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute). Georgina acted as lead reviewer for a systematic review about nursing role development.
Areas of teaching and learning interest include: renal nursing, facilitating reflective practice, how systematic review can develop the practitioner’s understanding of research and the use of a work-based approach to develop nurses’ clinical expertise in practice areas such as cardiac, haematology and nephrology in primary, secondary or tertiary care settings
