The School prides itself on pursuing research of the highest quality. In the latest assessment of research, 80% of the work was considered to be of at least an international quality level.
Research is organised along three broad research themes. The focus is on generic themes and methodological issues essential to clinically effective care and these provide the framework of research questions which guide the strategic development of research within the School. The School’s research profile has grown rapidly over recent years and has seen a massive increase in income. The School has attracted an increasing amount of research grant funding and has won numerous international awards and prizes.
