Media Coverage for Dr Nick Johns
10 September 2012
Dr Nick Johns of the School of Social Science at Cardiff University has recently appeared in the media twice in as many weeks.
The Guardian newspaper, while reporting the work of street pastors in Whitstable, mention a study undertaken by Dr Johns and colleagues at Plymouth University.
The study, entitled 'Street Pastors as Substitutes for Trust', evaluates the activities of street pastors, the public's perception of their role, and also deals with concerns that the role may be being used as a vehicle for proselytising. A copy of the study can be downloaded here.

Dr Johns also appeared on ITV's Wales Tonight programme on Wednesday 5th September discussing Save the Children's recent report 'Child Poverty in 2012: It Shouldn't Happen Here'. A full copy of the report can also be downloaded here.
