European Funding and the Social Sciences Masterclass: How to succeed as an FP7 Applicant
The School of Social Sciences invites you to a masterclass with Dr Sylvia Herrmann, which will explore:
- Topics, partners, networks
- Preparation of an application (scheduling, necessary pre-financing, support, administrative steps, etc)
- Work through an example
- Plan for the next application.

The previous day, we are also running the European Funding Annual Seminar
Dr Sylvia Herrmann
Dr Herrmann has broad experience in the coordination and management of interdisciplinary research projects, both on international and national levels with various funding organisations. She is currently coordinating the FP7 research project RUFUS with nine other partners (including Cardiff University) and has also sat on the Scientific Advisory Boards of other FP6 projects. As a result, she has considerable experience of the specific challenges of EU funded projects, particularly regarding administrative management and guidance issues.
