How to Apply

Admission Requirements
(Not applicable to the MA Social Work, please see below for information)
Candidates should have an Upper Second Class Honours degree from an approved UK or overseas university or a recognised relevant professional qualification. For applicants without these qualifications, strengths in other areas will be considered, such as for those aged 25 years and over, a minimum of two years experience in a position of responsibility relevant to the proposed course of study . Credit exemption may be given against accredited prior learning, and arrangements exist to accredit prior professional experience and professional development, including NPQH.
Where English is not the applicants first language we do require an IELTS score of 7.0 or above or its equivalent TOEFL score. Candidates with IELTS score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.5 in the reading element and 6.0 in the writing element, may be offered a place conditional on their attendance at in-sessional English Language Support classes taken alongside the modules in the programme.
It is possible for some of these modules to be credited towards the National Professional Qualifications for Headteachers (NPQH). Those who possess the NPQH or NPQSL award may be given credits towards the MSc. There is also a progression route from the MSc to the taught doctorate (EdD) programme.
