Degree Description

This degree offers an opportunity to progress or exit with the following qualifications:

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Post Qualifying Social Work: Advanced Practice (Children or Adults)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Post Qualifying Social Work: Management
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Post Qualifying Social Work
  • MSc in Post Qualifying Social Work

Cardiff University runs a new Masters, Level 7 Post Qualifying (20 credit) module for Practice Assessors. More.

Suitable for: social work professionals seeking advanced level study.  Candidates are required to demonstrate through a learning plan and support by an employer, that the course undertaken is relevant to their professional development.  Furthermore, candidates have to be qualified social workers and on the Register of the Care Council of Wales or other UK Care Council (and then be required to remain on the Register in order to obtain an award).

Offers knowledge and expertise: for a career and ongoing continual professional development in social work.  Courses are approved as part of the Modular PQ Framework by the Care Council for Wales.
