Scholarships are available for postgraduate study in the School.

Postgraduate study in the School includes doctoral programmes of learning as well as a specialist MSc programme.
1. Doctoral Pathways
Postgraduate doctoral programmes are organised into Six Pathways covering
- Education
- Social Policy
- Sociology
- Social Work
- Socio-Legal Criminology
- Science and Technology
2. MSc in Social Science Research Methods
These Pathways also provide opportunities for students to study for the MSc in Social Science Research Methods as the first step in postgraduate study. Applicants may take the MSc as a stand alone programme or as the first stage of doctoral studies.
Within the Sociology Pathway there are two specialisms available under the MSc in Social Science Research Methods. They are:
- Global Political Economy
- Psycho-Social Studies
