Qualifications

Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III is a medical doctor with special interest in global health and international health policy.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (cum laude) and Doctor of Medicine from the University of the Philippines. He earned his Master of Public Health (International Health and Development) from the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  He holds a Diploma in Social Science Research Methods from Cardiff University.  Don has worked in the field of international health and health research and policy in the Philippines, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Brazil and under the EU, WHO and the ILO.  His PhD research looks at the sexual risk taking behaviour of merchant seafarers in the context of AIDS.  He is  a Visiting Scholar at the Catholic University of Santos as part of his study.  He is a Nippon Foundation Fellow under the Seafarers International Research Centre of Cardiff University.
