Biography
I trained as a social worker in the early ‘70s and subsequently became interested in welfare rights. This took me into adult education initially as a part-time tutor. I was employed by the Workers Educational (WEA) in South Wales for 15 years and then at the University of Wales, Newport for 10 years. I retired as Head of Community Learning in the University’s Centre for Community and Lifelong Learning in 2009. I continue to be involved with WEA as a volunteer and trustee.
