Ms Rachel Brown
Qualifications
My name is Rachel Brown. I’m 36 years old and live in Cardiff with my partner and cat. I completed my undergraduate degree in 1997 in psychology and I am currently undertaking a part time PhD within DECIPHer. I have worked in drug and alcohol services in Cardiff for many years, both in the voluntary and statutory sectors and am currently working for NUS Wales on a research project relating to student alcohol consumption.
Research Interests
My interests are in identification of the most effective strategies for disseminating health information through social groups, by understanding the role of group dynamics on health behaviour. I hope to be able to identify key message carriers for health information and to explore peer-led approaches in higher education settings.
