Qualifications
Ngwatung joined SOCSI’s team of postgraduate researchers in 2008 as a Nippon Foundation Fellow at the Seafarers International Research Centre (SIRC). He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Economics from the University of Buea (Cameroon) and a Master of Arts degree in Ports and Shipping Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. He began his career in civil society work in Cameroon where he served as Programme Officer for Transparency International. He was also part of a fine effort to modernize passenger logistics in Cameroon working for Transnational Automotive Group Inc. as Assistant Operations Manager. He has spent the past year working at the Regional Maritime University, Accra (Ghana) where he is a member of faculty.
