Currently working towards doctoral thesis on understanding the links between families and schools in relation to children’s dietary health improvement (funded by a Researcher Development Award from the Department of Health and NHS R&D funded in Wales by the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR), at the Welsh Government).

Current research interests include:

  • Families, children and food practices
  • School approaches to dietary health improvement
  • Understanding health related behaviours within their social context with a focus on structure and agency interactions
  • Research methods with children and young people.
