Qualifications

Holds a 1st class honours degree in Modern History, Economic History and Politics from Royal Holloway College, University of London (1976-79), and a PhD on 'Joint Industrial Councils Since World War Two: Adaptation or Decline?' from the Industrial relations Research unit, University of Warwick (1982-85).
