Further introducing grammar, vocabulary,  morphology and syntax of New Testament Greek and beginning to work with original sources

Credits: 20

Availability of module: Every year - Spring

Prerequisites: RT3107 Introduction to New Testament Greek

Necessary for: Greek Text modules, unless RT3201 and RT3202 Hellenistic Greek I and II are taken in Part 2

Aims

To introduce students to the study of New Testament Greek sources

Learning outcomes

Ability to read, write and translate New Testament Greek texts and to recognise grammatical forms and functions

Teaching methods

Small group language teaching, exercises in grammar and translation, working with original sources; regular homework

Assessment

Coursework and examination (50:50)
