- Oxford Reference Online - search a range of Oxford reference books, including several relating to classics and ancient history (Cardiff users only).
- Grove Dictionary of Art Online - the entire 34-volume Dictionary of Art on your desktop, with many articles updated since the printed version. (Cardiff users only)
- Electronic Reference Collection - links to dictionaries, encyclopaedias, directories, news, maps, and much more.
- Paulys Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft - articles from a classic German reference work on the ancient world; only entries that are out of copyright can be posted online, so they are all at least 70 years old.
- Dictionary of Classical Mythology - by Rosemary Wright, former Professor of Classics at University of Wales Trinity St David. As well as alphabetical entries on persons and themes, it includes sources, a glossary, and appendices on constellation and transformation myths.
- De Imperatoribus Romanis - an online encyclopaedia of Roman emperors.
- Vicipaedia Libera Encyclopaedia - super octoginta milia articulorum!
- Nuntii latini - in hac pagina telae acta diurna in linguam latinam translata legere potes.
