Research Interests

• The translation of ancient classical and religious texts, especially Bible Translation in Antiquity

• The literary and social culture of the Near East in Late Antiquity as the background for the study of Greek and Syriac texts.
• The reception of Greek philosophical and scientific culture, especially the reception and transformation in Late Antiquity of the commentary genre and the translation of technical philosophical and theological language.
• Biblical Exegesis in Greek and Syriac
