Postgraduate Summer Challenge
DEADLINE 13TH JUNE
Multidisciplinary teams of Postgraduate and Research staff using academic knowledge to produce commercial development for the Cardiff area.
Cardiff University believes in providing opportunities to enhance employability, occasions to meet interesting and inspiring people, and establishing challenges that foster new skills that promote professional and personal development.
On 21 & 22 June, Student Enterprise presents the Postgraduate Summer Challenge, incorporating:
- 36 hours to create a project plan, whilst managing constantly evolving circumstances
- challenges that will develop practical skills in team working and innovation creation
- opportunities to display the utility of a postgraduate education to a wider audience
- occasions to meet influential business people
This year’s challenge is to produce a feasibility study for the use of a vacant piece of land in a *mystery area* of Cardiff.
You’ll be faced with changing circumstances as the challenge progresses. The ever developing conditions will encourage you to think differently and contemplate alternative plans.
Your project may be a traditional business, social enterprise, a charitable voluntary or community sector activity.
No business experience required – just an open mind. Necessary professional guidance is available throughout the challenge.

- 36 awr i greu cynllun prosiect wrth reoli amgylchiadau sy’n datblygu’n barhaus
- heriau a fydd yn datblygu sgiliau ymarferol ar gyfer gweithio mewn tîm a chreu arloesedd
- cyfleoedd i arddangos defnyddioldeb addysg ôl-raddedig i gynulleidfa ehangach
- achlysuron i gyfarfod â phobl busnes dylanwadol
Her eleni yw llunio astudiaeth dichonoldeb ar gyfer defnyddio darn gwag o dir mewn *ardal ddirgel* yng Nghaerdydd.
Byddwch yn wynebu amgylchiadau newidiol wrth i’r her ddatblygu. Bydd yr amodau sy’n datblygu’n barhaus yn eich annog chi i feddwl yn wahanol ac ystyried cynlluniau eraill.
Gall eich prosiect fod yn fusnes traddodiadol, menter gymdeithasol, neu weithgaredd elusennol y sector gwirfoddol neu gymunedol.
