Agreeing Terms and Conditions before grant submission?

For some types of application and for certain funding bodies it is possible for the University to agree terms and conditions before a grant funding application is submitted. This has the advantage of speeding up the process of contract negotiations if the grant is then awarded, thus enabling you to start working as soon as possible, subject to any other agreements that might need to be drafted involving other collaborators.

The University, via RACD, can agree terms before application in respect of which

    1)    a response to a tender is being submitted by the University

    2)    the application is to a Research Council or a major charity e.g. The Wellcome Trust

All contracts relating to research, clinical trials, consultancy and technology transfer activities MUST be signed by an authorised signatory within RACD.
