Sustainable Procurement
CSR and Sustainable development can ensure a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come and can assist in ensuring that the following objectives can be met:
- Social progress
- Effective protection of the environment
- Prudent use of natural resources
- The maintenance of high and stable levels of economic growth and development.
Taking sustainable development issues into account during the procurement cycle can support process of meeting the above objectives. This means looking beyond the initial price to take account of whole life costs, quality and other benefits. We provide advice on sustainable procurement and links to other websites offering further advice and support. Much of this advice is contained in our secure access Advice Section. If you are a member of Cardiff University staff and experience difficulty accessing this secure area of our website, please contact Buyline@cf.ac.uk for advice.
