Dr Alun Hutchings

“The Clinical Toxicology Laboratory”
Dr Hutchings holds a PhD in pharmacology, and is a Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (FIBMS). He is registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist, and has worked for both the NHS and the National Poisons Information Service.
With over 30 years experience in the fields of analytical toxicology and medical informatics, Dr Hutchings was appointed Consultant Analytical Toxicologist and Head of the Cardiff Toxicology Laboratories in 2001. The laboratories, which are based at University Hospital Llandough, provide analytical toxicology services to clients throughout the UK.
