  • 1991 PhD, University of Wales (Clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of sublingual verapamil)
  • 1994 LLM (Legal Aspects of Medical Practice), University of Wales (Investigator fraud in therapeutic drug trials in England and Wales)

Research Interests

Coordinator of the School's  Pharmacy Practice & Clinical Pharmacy Research Discipline 

Pharmacy practice and health services research including

  • management of health and illness, including self-management;
  • communication and language, advice and information relating to, and use of, prescription and over-the- counter medicines by patients, public and health professionals;
  • legal, ethical and professional aspects of pharmacy, including professional regulation;
  • pharmaceutical education, training and development
  • public involvement in science and technology related to pharmacy, medicines and health.
