Ross Wardle in Bedwas colours
Ross Wardle, a current 4th year pharmacy student, made his debut appearance for Newport Gwent Dragons in their recent LV cup match against Bath. Ross scored the first try in the match, which unfortunately the Dragons lost. However, he very nearly scored a second try, but was judged in touch with just a yard to go. He was instrumental in the Dragons' second try near the end of the game.

21 year old Ross manages to combine an active student life with regular rugby games with Bedwas, a semi-professional side who are currently second in the Welsh premiership. In addition he is captain of Cardiff University's side and as such will make his fourth appearance at the varsity match in the Millenium Stadium next May. He has trained regularly this past Summer with the Newport Gwent Dragons, but the recent match was the first time he had been in the side at the start of a match. He hopes it will not be his last and that a professional contract may follow once he completes his studies.
