Congratulations on securing a place to study at the Cardiff School of Optometry and Vision Sciences.
We look forward to meeting you at the end of September but until then, please find here some brief details of the University Enrolment and Cardiff School of Optometry and Vision Sciences induction processes.
All students at Cardiff University must enrol (register and pay fees) on-line. Cardiff University’s Registry will contact you by e-mail (or letter where necessary), approximately three weeks prior to the start of your programme advising you that the online task is available for you to complete. The task can be accessed via SIMS online at http://sims.cardiff.ac.uk
Cardiff School of Optometry and Vision Sciences’ Registration and Induction will take place for all new Undergraduate students in the week commencing the 23rd September 2013.
At the beginning of September you will receive an information pack from the School which contains full details of University Enrolment and dates of School registration and induction sessions. This pack will also contain information relevant to your first year of study including further details of your programme, a student survival guide and details of the personal tutor system. It will also contain the application form you need for your Enhanced DBS/ISA form.
Within the information pack, you will also have received a form to complete for GOC Registration purposes. It is important that you bring your completed form to School enrolment so that we can stamp it. Without this, you will be unable to start the course
If you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to contact us at the School on 029 20 879048.
We look forward to seeing you all at the start of the academic year.
