The MSc in Clinical Optometry provides a unique combination of distance learning and practical training (where appropriate) to suit the individual. More than 20 modules (each 10, 20 or 30 credits) have been developed by the postgraduate team at Cardiff; especially selected to support eye care professionals in their work:

For key dates for each module please view the pdf documents on this page. Modules are either released in Semester 1 or Semester 2. Semester 1 runs from September - February, and Semester 2 runs from March - July.

The PGT team can also recommend combinations of modules to support personal and professional development in key areas of clinical and optometric practice.

Each module is delivered over a period of ten weeks with a mix of online teaching material, discussion forums and assessment. The majority of this will be delivered via Learning Central, the University's elearning system. Many modules will also incorporate practical workshops and tutorials. The availability of modules varies according to the academic timetable.
