Teaching Profile
I have been a member of the Academic Staff at Cardiff for far longer than I admit to, and currently am module leader for the final year Binocular Vision and Special Needs [OP3103], which includes the teaching aspect of the Special Assessment Clinic.
Qualified as an Optometrist, I run our Special Assessment Clinic which offers Optometric Services to infants and young children, and to patients of all ages with special needs, including profound learning disabilities. This is currently the only clinic of its kind in England and Wales, and offers Cardiff optometry students a unique experience during their final year of undergraduate studies.
My primary administrative role is as Convenor and Liaison Officer for Examinations, and I am also Chair of the School Research Ethics Committee.
