Tickets for the 2011 Varsity rugby match between Cardiff and Swansea universities at the Millennium Stadium will be on sale at the Students’ Union on 1 March.
As well as buying tickets, staff and students who already have a Varsity voucher will be able to exchange it for their official match ticket. Merchandise for the event will also be on sale
Taking place at the home of Welsh rugby on 30th March, the rugby match is the culmination of a day of sporting excellence. Students from both universities will compete in 20 different sports including American football, rowing and basketball for the Varsity Shield. At 7.00pm, the rugby match will kick off with the winning team lifting the Varsity Cup.
Speaking about the event, Jack Perkins, Athletic President, Students’ Union said: " All the teams need your support and with the day games being held at the Welsh Institute of Sport, right in the heart of the city, followed by the rugby game at the Millennium Stadium, this promises to be the best Varsity yet."
Varsity is the biggest event in the student sporting calendar and 2011 marks the 15th anniversary of the competition.
