30 November 2011
The festive season will soon be upon us and the 2011 University Christmas card, showing Main Building in the snow is on sale now across campus. The University’s second calendar is also available for 2012, featuring stunning images of campus life from Varsity to our world-leading research.
A donation of 10p from each card sold and all profits from the calendars will go to supporting students in financial hardship at the University through The Cardiff Fund. The Cardiff Fund gives support by helping hundreds of students in financial need to funding various academic and extra-curricular projects across campus. It supports the University’s activities in four broad areas: Unrestricted Gifts, Student scholarships & bursaries, Sport & Students' Union Facilities and Libraries & Campus Facilities.
The University Christmas cards cost 40p each and calendars cost £3. Both are on sale at Graphic Services outlets throughout the Cathays Parks campus. Calendars can also be purchased shortly from the Students’ Union shop, the Print Centre in the Students’ Union building and online via the Alumni Shop.
To order packs of ten Christmas cards at £4.00 per pack please contact Clare Johnston, Graphic Services on ext. 74461 and/or arrange for an Oracle order to be raised to INSRV Graphics ASSL.
Cards can also be purchased and supplied with the name of Schools, Divisions, messages and logos overprinted at an additional cost of £73 per 500 cards for one colour. Additional charges will be incurred for two colours or more, plus the cost of the cards.
The last recommended posting service by Royal Mail is Tuesday 20th December for First Class mail within the UK (International dates vary). Where overprinting is required the deadline for this is Friday 9th December. Please email your text to firstname.lastname@example.org and arrange your order via Oracle to INSRV-PRINTING.
