As the new academic year gets underway Cardiff students will see a new side to the University with the launch of the Student High Street.
Designed to raise awareness of existing key services, the Student High Street aims to provide new and returning students with everything they need throughout their educational lifetime.
On the High Street students can find a range of services to help them meet other students, look after their health and enhance their employability skills.
The High Street will be launched during Freshers’ Fortnight when thousands of students descend on the University campus. To mark the launch ‘High Street Ambassadors’ will be on hand to offer help and advice as well as introducing the services available.
Head of Student Advisory Services Ben Lewis said: "The Student High Street really is the one stop location for all the things that the University provides to help our students make the most of their time here. These services are invaluable and we hope that by using the Student High Street brand to raise awareness of what‘s on offer that we can ensure all our students get the very best university experience."
Services located on the Student High Street include the Student Support Centre where students can get professional advice and guidance, the IT Service Desk, Chaplaincies and the University Health Centre.
It’s also home to the Students’ Union, The Graduate Centre as well as a 24-hour security office.
During Freshers’ Fortnight students can interact with each other on the High Street by following us on Twitter @StudentHighSt and using the hashtag #Studenthighstreet.
Ben Lewis added: "As the student experience continues to evolve we’d really welcome comments from our students on what they think of the High Street and how we can improve what we offer."
