The University’s new and returning students will be using a new email system when they return to Cardiff this month.
The University email for students and taught postgraduates will be upgraded to Microsoft’s cloud-based Office 365 email system.
Office 365 offers students easy access from mobile devices, up to 25GB of mailbox storage, and the facility to link other email accounts to view from the Office 365 inbox.
The upgrades to Office 365 are due to complete by the start of the academic year, and existing messages will also be moved from CardiffMail into the new system.
A range of promotion, support materials, and advice for the upgrade to Office 365 is available.
Support staff wearing yellow and black striped t-shirts are based in enrolment venues and visiting other locations helping students configure the new service.
Staff members and research postgraduates will be upgraded to Office 365 early in 2014.
