The Chief Executive of the Guardian Media Group plc is the guest speaker at a prestigious University-sponsored lecture in Cardiff.
Carolyn McCall OBE will address an audience of invited guests at the Cardiff Business Club lecture on Monday November 3 2008. The lecture, which is held at the Holland House Hotel, will be followed by a dinner in her honour.
The Guardian Media group comprises Guardian News & Media, GMG Regional Media, GMG Radio, GMG Property Services, Trader Media Group and Emap. Carolyn McCall was appointed Chief Executive of the group in 2006.
The evening will be hosted by Professor Terry Threadgold, Pro Vice-Chancellor for staff. "The University is delighted to be sponsoring and hosting this event," said Professor Threadgold. "Members of the Cardiff Business Club represent some of the University's most important and influential stakeholders and it will be a real pleasure to welcome a woman of Carolyn McCall’s standing to speak at the event."
Cardiff Business Club has a long tradition of welcoming high calibre international speakers to address its members. Founded in Cardiff in 1912 and with HRH The Prince of Wales as its Patron, the Club holds dinners in Cardiff between October and March annually.
