Using something for the first time can be daunting, particularly an online system – is the new system secure, how does the system work or will the experience be a confusing one?
These are just a few of the questions that the Cardiff People programme team have discussed over recent months when looking at the launch of the new HR and Payroll system.
This week you will begin to access elements of your personal information such as your address, contact details and role related information that we need you to check and ensure are accurate. To support all staff with this change we have created a series of short e-learning modules to provide information on how the system works and to also remind everyone of their security responsibilities (more information on security can be found in this accompanying article).
The complete course should take approximately 30 minutes to complete and each module culminates in a very short quiz to check your understanding of the topics. Staff with PC access will need to complete these modules before accessing the new HR and Payroll system.
You can access the e-learning modules via the instructions email that has been sent to all staff or by following the instructions below:
To complete the Cardiff People e-learning modules staff are expected to self-enrol on the University Learning Management System (LMS) – Learning Central.
To access Learning Central, please click on this link and use your University username and password to login then complete the following steps:
Once you have completed the e-learning modules we will activate your account within 24 hours. You will be able to access the new HR and Payroll system and complete your data validation exercise from the following dates:
Tuesday 19 March – Professional Services
Tuesday 2 April – College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
Monday 15 April – College of Biomedical and Life Sciences
Monday 29 April – College of Physical Sciences
