The Wales Gene Park, which Professor Sampson chairs, was established to translate new genetic knowledge into better healthcare and to help NHS staff and the public understanding so that these advances are applied in a responsible way.
The Wales Gene Park is delivering advances in this important area of medical science — and helping to establish high calibre biosciences jobs in Wales.
It was established by Cardiff University, with financial backing from the Welsh Assembly Government and the Department of Trade and Industry, and in partnership with NHS Wales and the Science Centre Techniquest. Its activities include:
