Do you have a passion for science, technology, engineering or maths and want to share it with the world?
FameLab provides researchers in academia and industry with a supportive platform to communicate science and engineering to a wider audience. Previous contestants have gone on to travel the globe and feature on radio and TV.
If you’re currently working in science, technology, engineering or maths, and think you can explain a science or engineering concept in an engaging way in just three minutes, FameLab wants to hear from you!
You could win £1750 in prize money and a weekend Masterclass with experts in media & communication skills, not to mention a chance to appear in the FameLab International Final at the Cheltenham Science Festival in June 2014.
Heats are taking place across the country but the Cardiff heat will be on 21st November at The Gate Arts Centre, Roath. The Regional Final will take place at Techniquest After Hours on Thursday 28th November.
You can see last year’s UK winner, Leon Vanstone in action at the UK Final and in James May’s Head Squeeze and last year's Wales Regional winner Jacques Carolan at the UK Final.
