Visiting Composers
Alongside its rich programme of composition workshops and seminars, the School of Music at Cardiff University also invites distinguished composers to visit the School of Music to give workshops, interviews or talks and to attend performances of their music at the public concerts given by visiting artists in the University Concert Hall at the School. A major recent event was the appointment of Judith Weir as Distinguished Visiting Research Professor in Music (2006-present) to conduct regular postgraduate seminars, workshops and one-to-one postgraduate supervision.
