Dr Trevor Herbert is Professor of Music at the Open University. He has had a long association with Cardiff University as an Honorary Professor and contributes to its programmes on performance practice.
Trevor Herbert joined the Open University when he was well-known as one of the UK's leading trombonists. Subsequently he has become a leading authority on brass instruments and their repertoire, as well as investigating the place of music in the culture of his native Wales.
