KTP provides Cardiff University with the opportunity to apply its knowledge, technology and expertise to external organisations.

Organisations can expect to improve their competitiveness and productivity, whilst forging lasting partnerships with Cardiff University.
eKTP
The KTP Office is pleased to announce a new KTP scheme driven by the Welsh Government; the enhanced KTP (eKTP). eKTP follows the same principles as the classic KTP but brings in an additional partner from overseas, either a company or a HEI. The idea is to bring in new knowledge and expertise from overseas in order to help Welsh companies.
Projects should last 3 years and the KTP Associate should be at post doctoral level or study for a PhD as part of the project. Knowledge will be gained through visits to the overseas collaborator and transferred to a partner company in Wales.
Projects should fit with the Welsh Government's priority areas for funding: Energy and Environment; Advanced Materials and Manufacturing; Creative Industries; Financial and Professional Services; Life Sciences; ICT; Food and Farming; Construction; and Tourism.
