Celebrate St David's Day with the University libraries
13 February 2013
Come along and join the University libraries to celebrate St David's Day on Friday 1st March.
We have taken inspiration for our St David's Day celebrations from what is said to have been St David's last message – to 'do the little things'.

We want to know what little things Cardiff University libraries could do that would make a big difference to you!
Tweet your library (#ulslittlethings), jot your thoughts down on a post-it note, or complete a feedback form to share your feedback.
Many of the libraries will be holding activities and exhibitions with a Welsh theme. Come along to find out more!
St David is the patron saint of Wales, and his contribution to Welsh history and culture is celebrated on St David's Day, 1st March.
St David came from an aristocratic family in West Wales, and was one of the early saints who helped to spread Christianity among the Celtic tribes of Western Britain in the sixth century.
There are many legends about the life of St David, from his birth, his childhood, and his life as a monk. However, we know that St David was a prophet and teacher, founding the city now known as St Davids in West Wales.
One of the most famous stories about St David tells of how he was preaching to a huge crowd - the ground around him rose up so he was standing on a hill and everyone had a better chance of hearing him speak.
