Senghennydd Library closure

8 July 2014

Senghennydd Library

The Senghennydd Library will be closing throughout August to enable essential maintenance works in the library. The Library will close from Monday 28th July (the last operational day will be Friday 25th July), and will reopen on Monday 1st September.

There will be no access to the Library during this period. There will be no Senghennydd loan items due back during the closure, but the book return bin will remain in the entrance to the Senghennydd Building and will be checked daily. Items can also be returned to any other Cardiff University library. Core items from the School of Mathematics reading lists will be available in the Trevithick Library during the closure period, and will be available for in-library use only.

Registration for Lifelong Learning students, Alumni, SCONUL, and Community Membership schemes will move to Room 0.07 in the Senghennydd building (opposite the Library entrance) and will be available 11am – 3pm Monday – Friday.

Tracey Stanley, Deputy University Librarian, said: "The maintenance works in the Senghennydd Library will mean that we are equipped to continue to offer a great experience to our users from the Schools of Maths and Lifelong Learning. During the maintenance works, we will also be developing a new study resource for the Languages for All scheme, and improving our journal provision. We are making every effort to minimise the inconvenience of this closure, and would like to thank all our users for their understanding during this period."
