Music Library sound recordings collection (20th C.)

One of the strongest academic collections of sound recordings in the UK. The collection represents the standard musical canon of musicological research, but also supports emerging areas such as ethnomusicology, popular music, and 19th and 20th century Russian, French, Welsh and German art music; there is also a good selection of jazz represented in the vinyl section of the collection.

Significance: Significant in Wales and the United Kingdom

Size: c. 5,000 CDs and c. 1,000 vinyl records.
