Grace Williams archive (20th C.)
Manuscript music scores, including carols, folk songs, incidental music to radio plays, and music for BBC radio programmes for children. An extensive collection of autograph and typeset scripts written by Grace Williams for BBC radio (and possibly television), mostly 1940s-60s, in English and Welsh. Most are for children’s programmes, but some contain autobiographical material or are clearly for adult listeners or music specialists.
Date range: 1940-1973
Size: 2 boxes, 1 metre
Language: English, Welsh

Notes: Also included are a large number of photocopies probably all produced by the Welsh Music Information Centre (WMIC). Almost definitely all are copies of surviving originals held either at WMIC or the National Library of Wales, but this requires checking. Some have annotations by Heward Rees. There are also copies of articles, programmes, letters, scripts, reviews, record covers and similar.
