Spring
The new branch Library, SCOLAR@Newport Road, was officially opened.
Launch of the Welsh Local Acts database on the SCOLAR web site.
Summer
History of Medicine Rare Books collection was relocated to SCOLAR in ASSL.
Archives were re-sequenced, re-boxed in archival quality containers, and relocated to purpose-built BS5454 accommodation.
Autumn
SCOLAR is leading a major INSRV digitisation programme. An important range of audio, visual and textual material from libraries and archives will be digitised and made available via the SCOLAR website from late-2008 onwards. Amongst the material to be digitised will be 19th century Cardiff Medical Officers' Reports, architectural documentation, First World War literary manuscripts, Welsh dialects on magnetic tape, footage of University staff and students on cinefilm, and history of pharmacy slides.
